It seems that these are difficult times for entrepreneurs, luck (equal to effort and search for a gap in the market with a value proposition, let no one be fooled that money does not come from under the rocks) we had those of us who started our business adventures more than 10 years ago, in other circumstances, another context and another social, work and financial climate.<\/p>\n
The other day I read a headline in an economic publication that said "Entrepreneurs lack ambition", I took a deep breath and thought... "what a pair of noses it takes to say something like that."<\/p>\n
We have read a lot about the new business generation, that if the degree of involvement is lower, that if they have lived the culture of hitting the ball, that if they seek to make money with minimal effort, etc... but from there to calling it "lack of ambition" goes a very big step.<\/p>\n
I admit that I have never liked the word ambition, it sounds to me like achieving success by whatever means and it doesn't matter who is above, besides, if you leave corpses along the way, it would be much better to have less competition. I run away from all this.<\/p>\n
The other day I was rereading an interview with Guardiola (a weakness, it must be because he was a contemporary of '71) who stated that in football, as in life and in business, you have two attack options and two defense options.<\/p>\n
In attack, either have control of the ball, being the one who controls the pace of the game, or wait without the ball to chase the opposing team on the counterattack.<\/p>\n
In defense, either press very high with a large amount of pressure or wait protected in defense and try to recover the ball.<\/p>\n
I'm left with having the ball and waiting at the top, pressing in the opposite field. I think that's what is expected of entrepreneurs, taking certain risks in the pressure of day-to-day life, innovating with new solutions and providing some control of the business.<\/p>\n
And even more so in these times where you have to clench your teeth very hard.<\/p>\n
