Es pot dir que la Segmentaci\u00f3, Targeting, Posicionament i Enginyeria de Posicionament (STPI) \u00e9s el gran secret darrere de l&#039;estrat\u00e8gia de m\u00e0rqueting d&#039;aquelles marques orientades al consumidor i que sens dubte s\u00f3n les marques capdavanteres en aquest segle XXI. \u00c9s la realitat que s&#039;imposa sobre la utopia del m\u00e0rqueting \u201cone to one\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>La segmentaci\u00f3 no \u00e9s simplement una divisi\u00f3 del mercat sobre la base de les caracter\u00edstiques sociodemogr\u00e0fiques o socioecon\u00f2miques dels consumidors, aix\u00f2 \u00e9s m\u00e9s aviat una divisi\u00f3 de la poblaci\u00f3 i no pas una segmentaci\u00f3 del mercat.<\/p>\n<h2>Com es creen els segments de clients?<\/h2>\n<p>El proc\u00e9s de creaci\u00f3 de segments en qu\u00e8 podem ser ajudats per eines com el \u201cdatamining\u201d, tracta d&#039;escollir exclusivament aquelles variables o criteris base que determinaran les difer\u00e8ncies de comportament entre consumidors. En la majoria d&#039;ocasions, aquests criteris de segmentaci\u00f3 no s\u00f3n exclusius sin\u00f3 que s\u00f3n combinaci\u00f3 de criteris.<\/p>\n<p>La combinaci\u00f3 de tots els nivells de cada criteri base en la segmentaci\u00f3 d&#039;un mercat pot donar lloc a m\u00faltiples segments possibles (segments primaris o descriptius), \u00e9s aqu\u00ed on els processos de contrasegmentaci\u00f3 (T\u00e8cnica de recerca de mercats en segmentaci\u00f3 que permet descobrir la combinaci\u00f3 ideal de segments estrat\u00e8gics partint de segments primaris o descriptius) poden ajudar-nos a resoldre el trencaclosques de trobar una segmentaci\u00f3 estrat\u00e8gica<\/p>\n<p>Trobar una segmentaci\u00f3 estrat\u00e8gica no \u00e9s nom\u00e9s una q\u00fcesti\u00f3 de metodologia (contrasegmentaci\u00f3) o de tecnologia (datamining), cal que el professional de m\u00e0rqueting tingui la capacitat de validar que els segments trobats generen una resposta comportamental diferenciada, s\u00f3n segments identificables, s\u00f3n mesurables ( podem con\u00e8ixer-ne la mida), rendibles i s\u00f3n accessibles (a trav\u00e9s d&#039;accions de m\u00e0rqueting).<\/p>\n<p>Si la segmentaci\u00f3 \u00e9s validada ser\u00e0 imprescindible \u201cperfilar-la\u201d, es tracta llavors de definir els segments trobats en totes aquelles caracter\u00edstiques necess\u00e0ries per poder accedir als mateixos segments a partir de criteris que no s&#039;hagin utilitzat en el proc\u00e9s de segmentaci\u00f3.<\/p>\n<p>Escollir sobre quin segment o segments conv\u00e9 a la marca dirigir-se en els propers anys \u00e9s el que anomenem targeting i aix\u00f2 dependr\u00e0 principalment dels recursos disponibles, l&#039;estrat\u00e8gia de marca de la companyia, la compet\u00e8ncia existent i la maduresa pr\u00f2pia del mercat. Lelecci\u00f3 dels segments de valor ha de fer rendible la marca.<\/p>\n<h2>Qu\u00e8 implica l&#039;enginyeria de posicionament?<\/h2>\n<p>Independentment de lestrat\u00e8gia de targeting triada per la marca, el seg\u00fcent pas en aquest proc\u00e9s STPI \u00e9s el disseny de lestrat\u00e8gia de posicionament. L&#039;objectiu \u00e9s ocupar una posici\u00f3 privilegiada a la ment dels consumidors que formaran part del nostre target. Es requereix del disseny de la imatge de marca i del desenvolupament d&#039;un mix de m\u00e0rqueting adequat per aconseguir la modificaci\u00f3 de la percepci\u00f3 de la nostra marca respecte de la compet\u00e8ncia ja sigui en beneficis o en atributs (tangibles o intangibles) i guanyar la posici\u00f3 mental desitjada sobre el target triat.<\/p>\n<p>Per tancar el cercle \u201cvirtu\u00f3s\u201d de l&#039;STPI, el pas imprescindible \u00e9s l&#039;enginyeria de posicionament que partint del posicionament actual es defineixin estrat\u00e8gies futures de posicionament de marca en base a estrat\u00e8gies de simulaci\u00f3 i processos de projecci\u00f3. Cal determinar el cam\u00ed que hauria de seguir la marca a cada segment de valor per captar el potencial desitjat. Mostrar la manera de defensar la posici\u00f3 davant atacs de la compet\u00e8ncia.<\/p>\n<p>La investigaci\u00f3 de mercats estrat\u00e8gica ha de ser una eina necess\u00e0ria per a la consecuci\u00f3 dels objectius plantejats de m\u00e0rqueting. Ha de ser una guia d&#039;orientaci\u00f3 a l&#039;estrat\u00e8gia i no un servei banal convertit en \u201ccommodity\u201d.
